Alex's Story

I’m Alex, and I started AMH Strategies because I am passionate about helping organizations achieve their mission to drive meaningful impact. Over the past few years, I’ve worked with clients across the country on a number of initiatives. I've supported CEOs to exceed fundraising targets, led strategic plans for program growth, trained talent teams to improve recruitment and retention, streamlined systems across teams, and helped organizations integrate AI thoughtfully into their workflows. I love to work hand in hand with organizations to unlock solutions to complex challenges and am always eager to partner with clients on their most pressing needs.

Before consulting, I served as Chief Growth and Strategy Officer at Impact Public Schools, where I oversaw talent, human resources, communications, and development. During my time there, we expanded staff amid a national teacher shortage, achieved a fourfold increase in earned media, consistently met fundraising targets, and so much more. I led our leaders to develop coaching and performance tools for our central office team and facilitated management workshops for senior leaders. Together, we achieved over 90% year-to-year retention in our central office and supported Impact campuses in driving some of the best student outcomes in the region.

Prior to Impact, I led with Summit Public Schools, Washington, overseeing college programming efforts where we saw 100% college admission for our founding classes in Seattle and Tacoma. I also spearheaded a regional push to improve state assessment outcomes, resulting in meaningful gains across Summit’s campuses.

When I’m not working, you’ll find me making music, exploring the beautiful Pacific Northwest, and spending time with my wife, two boys, and puppy.
